Small Text Generator
Convert text into ꜱᴍᴀʟʟ ᴄᴀᴘꜱ — capital letter shapes at roughly lowercase height. It is the most understated of the Unicode styles, which is why it works so well in bios and usernames.
Two letters have no small-capital form in Unicode: Q and X. Rather than substituting something that looks wrong, this tool leaves them as ordinary lowercase and says so. Any generator that claims full coverage is faking those two.

Small Caps Examples
Row six is the important one: it shows exactly which letters cannot be converted.
| Input | Output | What it shows |
|---|---|---|
| small caps | ꜱᴍᴀʟʟ ᴄᴀᴘꜱ | The basic conversion. |
| welcome to my page | ᴡᴇʟᴄᴏᴍᴇ ᴛᴏ ᴍʏ ᴘᴀɢᴇ | A typical bio line at small-caps height. |
| ALREADY UPPERCASE | ALREADY UPPERCASE | Uppercase input is left alone by design — small caps replace lowercase letters. |
| the quick brown fox | ᴛʜᴇ qᴜɪᴄᴋ ʙʀᴏᴡɴ ꜰᴏx | A full pangram-style phrase shows the coverage. |
| quick fix | qᴜɪᴄᴋ ꜰɪx | q and x have no small-capital form and stay lowercase. |
| abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz | ᴀʙᴄᴅᴇꜰɢʜɪᴊᴋʟᴍɴᴏᴘqʀꜱᴛᴜᴠᴡxʏᴢ | The whole alphabet — only q and x remain unconverted. |
| small caps 2026 | ꜱᴍᴀʟʟ ᴄᴀᴘꜱ 2026 | Digits have no small-caps form and pass through. |
| café | ᴄᴀꜰé | Accented letters are unmapped and stay as they are. |
How Small Capitals Work
Small caps are not a shrunken font. They are a set of separate characters borrowed mostly from phonetic notation.
Each lowercase letter maps to a small-capital character
a becomes ᴀ (U+1D00), b becomes ʙ (U+0299), n becomes ɴ (U+0274). Most come from the Phonetic Extensions block, where linguists use them to notate specific sounds.
Only lowercase is converted
Uppercase input is left alone, which means you can mix a full capital with small capitals — "Hᴇʟʟᴏ" — the typographic convention for a small-caps line.
Q and X genuinely do not exist
Unicode has no small-capital Q or X. Some generators substitute ǫ (a Latin o with ogonek) or a superscript x, which look wrong at any size. This tool leaves them lowercase.
Everything else passes through
Digits, punctuation, symbols and non-Latin scripts have no small-caps forms and are left unchanged.

Shared input: Style my text
| Transformation | Result | Reach for it when |
|---|---|---|
| Bold | 𝗦𝘁𝘆𝗹𝗲 𝗺𝘆 𝘁𝗲𝘅𝘁 | You want weight without a formatting bar. |
| Italic | 𝘚𝘵𝘺𝘭𝘦 𝘮𝘺 𝘵𝘦𝘹𝘵 | You want a slant for titles or asides. |
| Small caps | Sᴛʏʟᴇ ᴍʏ ᴛᴇxᴛ | You want an understated, typographic look. |
| Bubble | Ⓢⓣⓨⓛⓔ ⓜⓨ ⓣⓔⓧⓣ | You want a playful, high-contrast look. |
| Wide | Style my text | You want the vaporwave spacing effect. |
Small Caps Caveats
Small caps are the most broadly compatible of the Unicode styles, but they are not free of cost.
q and x break the line
A word containing either letter will have one full-height lowercase character in it. Choosing wording that avoids them is the only real fix.
Screen readers announce phonetic names
ᴀ is "Latin letter small capital A". Assistive technology may read that in full or skip it, so avoid small caps for anything essential.
Search does not match them
ꜱᴍᴀʟʟ and "small" are different strings. Keep searchable keywords in ordinary characters.
Heights vary between fonts
The small-capital characters were designed as phonetic symbols, not as a matched small-caps set, so their heights are not perfectly consistent. It shows most in serif fonts.
Where Small Caps Work
Because the characters come from a widely supported block, small caps render more reliably than most Unicode effects.
Instagram and TikTok bios
The most common use. Small caps read as deliberate typography rather than as a gimmick, which is why they have outlasted most bio-font trends.
Discord and gaming usernames
Widely accepted in nicknames. Some servers require readable names, and small caps are usually considered readable enough to pass.
X and LinkedIn
Renders correctly. On LinkedIn, keep your job title in ordinary characters so recruiter search can find it.
Older Android devices
A handful of older system fonts lack some Phonetic Extensions characters and show a fallback box. Test a short string if your audience skews towards older devices.
What Small Caps Are Good For
Bio and profile headers
A small-caps line reads as a section label, giving a bio structure that the platform does not provide.
Usernames and display names
Small caps are distinctive without being hard to read, which is the sweet spot for a display name.
Subtle emphasis
Where bold would shout, small caps mark a phrase quietly — closer to a typographic decision than a decoration.
Section dividers in plain text
In a plain-text document with no headings, a small-caps line makes an effective divider.
